The Osage County Board of Commissioners approved a personnel payroll action and cleared utility permits for Brightspeed at its July 7 meeting.
Commissioner Heather Kuder moved and Commissioner Brandon Smith seconded approval of a personal payroll action form placing Bryson Banfield at the transfer station and solid waste effective July 6, 2026. The motion carried 3-0.
Ryan Fine of Road & Bridge presented the permits and discussed a proposed county recycling program with Commissioner Kuder; that program discussion did not produce a formal action at the meeting. The board also approved Brightspeed to replace old telephone poles on Shawnee Heights Road and approved a buried-line permit with an amendment requiring work to be completed within 180 days of permit approval.
Road & Bridge staff were directed to coordinate with Brightspeed and to issue the amended buried-line permit.
