Osage County commissioners approve permits, personnel actions and routine payments

At their July 7 meeting the Osage County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine motions including a personnel payroll action, utility permits for Brightspeed, Resolution 2026-015 updating bank signatories, Bills Batch 7.7.26AE ($177,919.19) and county payroll ($379,649.38).
The Osage County Board of Commissioners voted on a set of routine administrative items at its July 7, 2026 meeting, approving permits, payroll actions and payments.
Commissioner Heather Kuder moved and Commissioner Brandon Smith seconded a series of motions that carried unanimously. Among the approved actions were a personal payroll action form to place Bryson Banfield at the transfer station/solid waste effective July 6, 2026; authorization for Brightspeed to replace telephone poles on Shawnee Heights Road; and approval of a buried-line permit for Brightspeed amended to require completion within 180 days of the permit date.
The board also approved Resolution 2026-015, updating authorized signatories on county depositories and accounts. Jay Hatfield, county clerk, presented Grant Township’s annual report for commissioner review during the same portion of the agenda.
Finance measures approved included Bills Batch 7.7.26AE in the amount of $177,919.19 and county payroll totaling $379,649.38 for the pay period ending June 27, 2026. Each motion was moved by Commissioner Heather Kuder and seconded by Commissioner Brandon Smith and recorded as carrying by a 3-0 vote.
The meeting ended with a motion to adjourn that also passed unanimously.
