Selectboard rejects single generator bid; re-advertises with clearer specs

"For a motion, Mister chair, we can't—he didn't meet the specifications of the bid," S3 said, recommending the town reject the bid and re-advertise. The board instructed staff to re-run the ad and to clarify that the generator needs to be specified as 3-phase and single-phase where appropriate to avoid confusion by vendors.
S11 and others said the ad should include explicit language about phase requirements so bidders understand the operational needs for running town equipment. The board asked staff to initial the bid form indicating it was refused for not meeting the specifications and to place the materials back in the bid folder for re-advertising.
Outcome: The bid was rejected for noncompliance with the advertised minimum and the board will re-advertise the generator procurement with clarified technical language.
