Clifton council authorizes limited Pink House repairs and approves Eagle Scout reimbursement

The Clifton Town Council on Sept. 3 authorized limited repairs to the Pink House and approved an Eagle Scout reimbursement.
The council authorized Councilors Wayne Nickum and Dwayne Nitz to solicit time-and-material rates from two qualified contractors for Pink House repairs and granted authority to spend up to $1,500 without further authorization and up to $2,500 total without additional council approval. John Powell seconded the motion; the roll-call showed Nickum, Powell, Dillard and Nitz voting AYE; Bill Hollaway and Chuck Rusnak were absent for that roll-call.
Separately, Eagle Scout Michael Sudgrive reported completion of a boardwalk and trail work at Clifton Creek Park and requested reimbursement of $1,208 to cover the full project cost, including an unanticipated purchase. The council approved the $1,208 reimbursement and asked Sudgrive to provide receipts for the Treasurer prior to reimbursement.
