RICHMOND, N.H. — The Richmond Zoning Board of Adjustment met March 12, 2026, and agreed to investigate whether a clerical error in the town Zoning Ordinance can be corrected administratively.
Dr. Thomas Tague, chairman, opened the meeting at 7:03 p.m. and noted that Robert Gow was seated as a voting member in place of absent member Kim Gold. The board unanimously approved the draft minutes of Feb. 12, 2026; the motion to approve was made by Antoinette Cincotta and seconded by David Bryan.
Land Use Assistant Lisa La Clair told the board that the Planning Board is compiling changes to align the printed Zoning Ordinance booklet with prior town votes. The Planning Board is researching what authority it has to make clerical corrections without a public hearing or town vote; the Zoning Board discussed the same question. Chairman Tague and Vice Chair Antoinette Cincotta agreed to research the legal authority further and bring information to the next meeting.
The board also agreed that Cincotta and La Clair will arrange a file folder at Town Hall with zoning forms and applications for public access. Members reviewed proposed naming of the two rooms in the Taylor-Van Brocklin Building; Robert Gow and Cincotta will continue compiling historical information and examples (Cincotta displayed sample frames) and Tague said he would inspect the frames and coordinate photo printing.
La Clair distributed reference materials, including the New Hampshire Planning and Land Use Regulations Book (2025–2026 edition) and the 2024 Zoning Board of Adjustment in New Hampshire handbook. The board discussed a possible change to start meetings at 6 p.m. but agreed to retain the 7 p.m. start time.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn by Cincotta, seconded by Bryan; the vote was unanimous and the meeting ended at 8:15 p.m. Chairman Tague and Vice Chair Cincotta are expected to report back with findings on the ordinance correction at the board's next scheduled meeting.
