During routine business the Selectboard reviewed a timber tax abatement filed by Tim Cook and agreed to schedule a meeting—possibly Oct. 2—with Tim Cook and Rick Evans from the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration timber division to review the abatement and supporting materials. Kling reported he had reviewed the reports and rate sheets used to generate the timber tax bill.
The board reviewed the budget meeting timeline and tentatively scheduled meetings; notices will be sent to department heads and committee chairs with budget submissions due to the Selectboard Office by Oct. 15.
The Selectboard reviewed data for the 2019 F‑550 and agreed to post the vehicle on Municibid.com with a $35,000 starting bid, with posting scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13. The Cemetery Commission’s recent monument-care clinic drew about 30–35 attendees and the commission will hold additional clinics and meetings regarding perpetual-care funding.
The manifest, payroll and accounts payable folders were reviewed and signed where necessary. The meeting adjourned after a motion by Larry Taylor, seconded by Kevin Follensbee; the motion passed 3–0.
