After the presentations and Q&A, Council member Kristen Weaver moved and Mayor Emmett Jordan called the roll to go into a closed executive session. The motion cited section 3‑305(b)(1) and (8) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland to discuss personnel matters (appointments, performance evaluations and related personnel actions) and to consult with staff and consultants about pending or potential litigation. Council signaled the closed session would be held with the city manager and that the public meeting would not reconvene afterward.
The roll was called and the body recessed at 9:43 p.m. for the executive session.
