Council members asked whether driveways and septic removal were included and discussed VIN checks for vehicles on the property. Staff noted that some contracts specified septic pumping and removal as part of the scope and confirmed those items were included in at least one bidder’s paperwork. A motion to accept Burton Excavating’s bid with the condition that staff determine sewer disposition (whether the tank must be removed or left in place) and finalize required notifications passed by voice vote.

Staff will confirm the sewer-disposition details, complete required notices and permits, and then finalize the contract award to Burton Excavating once the condition is satisfied.
