Resident Andy Dow announces run for Farmington selectman during public input

During the public input portion of the Jan. 27 Farmington Board of Selectmen meeting, resident Andy Dow told the board he is running for Town Selectman. Dow said he serves on the Planning Board and described prior service as a liaison officer during Hurricane Katrina relief, work as a public affairs officer and historian for the Marine Corps, the Army and the National Guard, and a career in Concord where he worked at the Concord Armory.
Vice Chairman Charlie King asked whether Dow currently serves on any boards; Dow replied he serves on the Planning Board and said he has lived in Farmington more than 20 years and would like to apply that experience to town government. The exchange was part of the public input segment and no formal action or endorsement was taken by the board.
