The Town of Farmington Trustees of the Trust Funds voted Jan. 22 to withdraw $1,000 from the Beulah Thayer Scholarship Fund to pay the University of Maryland on behalf of a scholarship recipient, according to the trustees' meeting minutes.
Secretary Brian Beaverstock moved to approve the payment; Vice Chairman James Bourque seconded the motion. The trustees recorded that a grade report, proof of scholarship and the required paperwork had been submitted and were complete. The motion passed 2-0.
The request had been submitted by Stephanie Ham on behalf of the Farmington School Board. Kathy Seaver, the trustees' bookkeeper, was listed as present in the minutes but no additional action or comment from Seaver was recorded.
The meeting also approved the minutes of the Dec. 18, 2025 meeting by a 2-0 vote. Trustees adjourned at 6:09 PM. Bourque noted he will not be able to attend the Feb. 26, 2026 meeting and said the trustees would need to shift the meeting date if "Manny" is also unable to attend; the minutes do not provide Manny's last name or role.
The trustees' next scheduled meeting is Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
