Reidville council accepts April financial report, advances ordinance and adopts resolution in unanimous votes

The Reidville Town Council unanimously approved routine minutes, accepted the April 2026 Financial Report and advanced and adopted several agenda items at its May 12 meeting at the Reidville Fire Department.
Councilmember Bob Jordan moved and Councilmember Justin Beardsley seconded approval of the April 14, 2026 workshop minutes; that motion passed unanimously. Mayor Josh Simpson moved and Councilmember Amy Gore seconded approval of the April 22, 2026 workshop minutes; that motion passed unanimously. Councilmember James Richard gave a financial update on the local government investment pool account and then moved to accept the April 2026 Financial Report; Councilmember Justin Beardsley seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
On ordinance and resolution business, Councilmember Justin Beardsley moved and the council unanimously approved the first reading of Ordinance 2026‑02. Councilmember Bob Jordan moved and Justin Beardsley (record shows) seconded the second and final reading of Resolution 2026‑01; the resolution passed unanimously.
At 6:43 p.m. the council voted to enter executive session for the announced and posted reasons and returned to open session at 8:16 p.m. Mayor Josh Simpson said no decisions were made during the executive session. The meeting was adjourned at 8:43 p.m. by unanimous vote.
