Planning board tables regulation changes, notes room capacity and continues master plan survey review

At its Jan. 6 meeting the Town of Richmond Planning Board set aside immediate action on proposed subdivision regulation changes and took several administrative steps related to upcoming work.
The board received two memos regarding proposed road change sections (701.19 and 701.20) from Dick Drew and Catherine Willett and agreed to table further discussion until the next meeting so members could review the memos. Members also noted prospective future work items including consideration of reduced minimum lot sizes (down to two acres), a proposed reduction of the 250' road frontage requirement, reopening back lots for building, and review of cluster development standards.
Fire Chief Rob Skrocki reported that the Taylor‑Van Brocklin (TVB) board room is rated for 26 people; the board requested that expedited‑hearing items remain first under Old Business on future agendas. The board continued review of the Master Plan survey results through question 22 and deferred an update to the zoning ordinance book while numbering issues are researched.
The board approved the minutes from the Dec. 18, 2025 meeting and adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
