Staff (S5) said MSA will prepare and deliver a resident survey and a spreadsheet of results; staff will distribute the surveys to residents and forward the completed data to MSA for application preparation. "I'll be delivering those to the residents, following through with them, getting the information we can put back into a spreadsheet that they'll create," the staff member said.
According to staff, the CDBG application is due in February and the program could provide a 1-to-1 match worth up to $1,000,000 if Port Edwards qualifies. The committee approved the $3,000 agreement by voice vote; the transcript records 'aye' but does not include a roll-call tally by name in the meeting record.
The $3,000 will come from the administrative line in the committee’s budget; staff said if the village does not qualify for the CDBG, they will investigate other funding options. The contract was described as preparatory work for the potential grant application, not the grant award itself.
