Lisbon Cemetery Association approves higher interment fees, effective March 1, 2025

The Lisbon Cemetery Association approved new interment rates at its Jan. 27 meeting, voting to raise fees for both cremations and full burials to reflect higher fuel and labor costs. Donna Knighton moved to accept the proposed schedule; Lisa Heathe seconded the motion and the board approved the change.
Todd Fisher said he spoke with Tammy Ross to compare prices and noted, "we are charging much less than most other towns in the area," urging increases to bring Lisbon closer to regional averages. The association also decided to keep the vault rental fee at $100 because the vault’s use does not add extra cost.
Under the adopted schedule, Lisbon’s published 2025 prices include: a $200 charge for cremation (standard), $300 for the weekly cremation rate, and $500 for after-hours cremation; full-burial rates are set at $500 standard, $600 for the weekly rate, and $600–$750 for after-hours listings discussed in the meeting. The motion specifies that the new prices will take effect March 1, 2025; individuals arranging interments prior to that date will be charged the prior (lower) rates. Todd Fisher will check with Town officials about any formal posting requirements for the new rates.
The board reviewed account statements and other routine business during the meeting; the vote to adopt the new schedule was the only formal action related to fees.
