Comfrey reviews new wastewater treatment permit; phosphorus testing required

S. Berberich told the council that the new permit for the Comfrey Wastewater Treatment Facility went into effect Aug. 5 and that renewed permitting includes additional phosphorus testing requirements.
Berberich also reported that seal coating work performed by M R Paving has been completed. He said concerns have been raised about semis parking on city streets and that Bolton & Menk advised that roads recently redone are rated for 9-to-10-ton limits.
At the meeting Berberich reviewed the final wastewater permit and stated that it is valid for five years. No enforcement timeline, testing schedule, or contractor direction was presented during the discussion.
