Commission approves minor modification, issues one Certificate of Compliance and continues several hearings

At its June 3 meeting the Ipswich Conservation Commission approved a minor modification to install a water line at 55 Town Farm Road, issued a full Certificate of Compliance for 173 Linebrook Road, closed a public hearing for 68 Essex Road pending a June 17 vote, and continued multiple matters to June 17.
The Ipswich Conservation Commission handled several procedural and approval items on June 3, approving a minor modification, issuing a Certificate of Compliance and scheduling additional hearings.
Commissioner James (Jim) Stone moved to approve a Minor Modification for 55 Town Farm Road to add a 1.5-inch water line under the driveway serving a new house at the rear of the property; the motion passed unanimously.
Justine Fox of Williams & Sparages presented photographs and evidence that rip rap had been removed from the No-Disturbance Zone and grass seeding had established at 173 Linebrook Road; Commissioner Sissy ffolliott moved to issue a full and final Certificate of Compliance (COC) and the commission voted unanimously to issue the COC.
For 68 Essex Road, Larry Graham reported submission of a revised O&M plan and a planting plan; the commission closed the public hearing and will review the draft permit and vote on June 17. The Small Project Permit for test pits at 214 High Street was continued at the applicant's request to June 17 to allow review of the approved OOC and NDZ documentation. Multiple other listed matters (including 39 River Road, 88 North Ridge Road, 70 North Ridge Road and 40/42 Chattanooga Road) were continued to the June 17 meeting at applicants’ request.
The commission also approved the May 20, 2026 minutes and adjourned at 8:34 p.m.
Next steps: several matters are scheduled for the June 17 meeting for permit decisions or additional review.
