The Ipswich Conservation Commission discussed an ongoing enforcement concern at 18 North Ridge Road on June 3 after a site visit revealed abundant Japanese knotweed spreading toward an adjacent property.
No one appeared on behalf of the property at the meeting. Commissioner Sissy ffolliott reported that knotweed was migrating onto the neighboring parcel. Chair Jennifer Hughes said that the prior Order of Conditions for Coastal Bank restoration related to the property has expired and that replanting work will be necessary. The commission said property owners will need to file an application for invasive species removal and directed the Conservation Office to contact the owners.
The commission took no immediate enforcement action at the meeting.
