Ella Cademartori, the library director, told trustees the total assessor fee is $9,000 and that the LCHIP grant will cover roughly half. Trustees discussed related capital upgrades that intersect with the grant application, including front-door work and a possible air-exchange system. The board directed staff to continue gathering three DPW or contractor quotes for electrical work and other capital items.
The board also reviewed a capital list that included furniture, Wensberg Room upgrades and a possible new Wensberg Room entrance. Trustees flagged the need for clear cost estimates to determine what additional work, if any, can be covered by the grant and town or donor funds.
