Selectboard reviews Meeting House repairs, kitchen needs, solar quotes and Brantwood Camp appraisal status

At its May 6 work session the Town of Greenfield Selectboard approved the consent agenda and discussed a range of facility and administrative matters, including Meeting House repairs and energy and emergency-preparedness options.
At 6:30 p.m. Selectman Michael Borden moved to approve the consent agenda and Selectman George Rainier seconded; the board voted 3-0 in favor and completed signing documents. Documents listed for review included payroll, an ACH for NH Retirement, a sewer tax levy, a land-use change tax warrant, a transfer to the Oak Park Fund, a Town Clerk dog fee increase effective June 1, a wage change form for a Deputy Health Officer, donations to the fire department, an elderly tax exemption, and an Oak Park invoice for disc golf.
The board discussed Brantwood Camp’s update: Brantwood intends to supply an appraisal but has not yet hired an appraiser; the board said receipt of an appraisal will move the process to the next step. The board also discussed Meeting House needs as rentals begin — acquiring appliances for a working kitchen, hydroseeding, stabilizing front doors, repainting and arranging elevator repairs; Selectman Borden said he would contact the elevator company about the nonworking elevator.
Board members reviewed quotes on solar panels for town buildings and discussed an Emergency Management Director presentation about available grant money for a generator at the Meeting House. The session concluded with an adjournment motion by Selectman George Rainier, seconded by Selectman Michael Borden, which carried 3-0 at 7:55 p.m.
