County accepts audit scope, reviews vouchers and hears IT and health-program updates

During the July 16 session the Prairie County Board of Commissioners accepted an Audit Scope & Objectives from Olness & Associates, reviewed county vouchers and heard two outside presentations.
Deputy Clerk & Recorder Aria Walters presented Fiscal Year 2025 claims and noted that she would present FY26 claims later at 1:30 p.m. Recorded vouchers included Prairie County Voucher #1156 for $83,169.87, Voucher #1157 for $9,159.81, a $25 Calcutta Pool application fee check from Bump and Run, and a voucher adjustment #535. In the afternoon the record lists additional vouchers including Prairie County Voucher #1001 for $124,119.68 and Voucher #1002 for $2,048.74.
Commissioners signed and accepted the Audit Scope & Objectives from Olness & Associates.
Ashley Van Bossch, representing Healthy is Wellness, updated the board on the county program and future developments. Karli King joined via Microsoft Teams to describe MACo IT services, with emphasis on cybersecurity support, IT helpdesk options and available landline phone services for counties.
No formal motions were recorded to change county audit policy; the board accepted the audit scope and continued routine fiscal oversight for the fiscal year.
