The Town of Boscawen Economic Development Committee reviewed local outreach and planning initiatives at its July 7, 2026 meeting.
Mike Tardiff of the Central NH Regional Planning Commission summarized a June 25 workshop on RSA 79-E, the Community Revitalization Tax Incentive. Tardiff described the session as successful but noted that only three property owners attended; he suggested the town consider offering the program annually because it could serve both residential and business property owners.
Committee members discussed development opportunities around Hannah Dustin Island, including possible interpretive panels and limited commercial uses, and set a task force meeting for July 13 to continue planning. The committee also reviewed progress on an EDC business survey, reporting 11 responses to date and a target of 25; members discussed outreach options to increase participation.
Chair John Porter reminded members that the Concord Business Expo remains on the committee’s agenda for next April, and Electrisola was mentioned as a possible host for the August meeting. The committee approved prior meeting minutes and adjourned; no formal decisions to use RSA 79-E or to pursue specific funding were recorded at this session.
