The Edgecombe County Public Schools board voted to accept $5,000 library grant awards for five district schools during its personnel meeting.
Dr. Bryant told the board that GW Bullock, Martin Millennium Academy, North Edge High School, Princeville Elementary School and Southwest Edgecomb High School were each slated to receive $5,000. “The purpose of this grant is the purpose of school library books, ebooks, and magazines,” Dr. Bryant said, and added the district’s technology director worked with school staff on the applications.
Board materials supplied at the meeting list the awards and name funders in the packet; the materials describe the payment schedule and effective dates included for review. Dr. Bryant said the district was “very excited to receive these awards.”
The grant acceptance was handled on the consent agenda and approved by voice vote with no additional discussion.
