Craig also said the teacher, employed by Park City School District, resigned on Oct. 11, 2024, in lieu of termination and later submitted a signed, notarized affidavit surrendering the educator license on April 4, 2025.
Board member Dr. Slinger moved to accept the notice of surrender and to dismiss the discipline case; the motion was seconded and the board voted by voice in favor. Board leadership recorded no public comment and proceeded with the motion. The transcript records voice votes (several participants saying "aye") but does not contain a full roll-call tally by name.
The action ends the formal discipline proceeding before the Board of Public Education in case BPE 2025-01. OPI reported the surrender to the national educator database entry noted during the meeting. The board did not direct additional investigation during the public portion of the meeting.
