Bellevue council approves multiple contracts, permits and service agreements

Key approvals included: a construction engineering services agreement with Alfred Benish & Company for the major street resurfacing project (reading stated "in an amount not to exceed $292,988 and $88.06"), a professional services agreement for an active mobility plan (not to exceed $51,999.29), and a monthly service agreement with Fastwire to provide fiber and services for the fire department training site at $212.60 per month. The council also authorized a 12‑month lease extension with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (not to exceed $238,500) and approved a client services agreement with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services as broker of record (not to exceed $40,000).
Other business included award of a playground resurfacing estimate to EcoTurf for Thompson Park (not to exceed $64,340.96), approval of final payment and change order credit with Omni Engineering for overlay projects (final payment $68,170.49; credit $99,618.50), and authorization of change orders for an emergency storm sewer repair project with HIMSS Construction totaling $44,966.26. Event applications for the Kiwanis Arrows to Aerospace Celebration and a Bellevue Food Pantry fundraiser were also approved by motion.
