Big Bear City CSD renews audit engagement with DavisFarr LLP for three years

Finance Officer Jeanette Prickett told the board the district’s existing audit contract with DavisFarr LLP had expired and staff recommended renewing the engagement so the district could retain the same audit partner, Jonathan Foster, for up to six consecutive years. Prickett said changes to state procurement practice under the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act mean the district is not required to issue a request for proposals for non-construction professional services in this situation.
By motion of Director JoKay Rowe, seconded by Director Larry Walsh, the board approved the resolution. The vote was recorded as: AYES — Bob Rowe, JoKay Rowe, Larry Walsh and Al Ziegler; NOES — none; ABSENT — John Russo; ABSTAINS — none.
