Several local arts and tourism organizations gave brief reports on how the town’s transient occupancy tax (TOT) reinvestment funds were spent in the past year and what results they produced.
Monica representing the Paradise Ridge Chamber described a resident‑attraction marketing campaign called "piece of paradise," noting email and digital metrics that reached large, targeted audiences and generated thousands of engagements. Kelly Connor, president of the Paradise Performing Arts Center, outlined concerts produced and provided a cost breakdown for artist fees, lodging and advertising. Kathleen Dysart of the Paradise Arts Center reported increased attendance and membership compared with pre‑fire levels and said arts groups will coordinate through the Paradise Arts Alliance for future funding requests.
Museum and theater representatives reported on recovery and outreach efforts. The Golden Nugget Museum said it is conducting a forensic audit and asked for time to prepare line‑item reports. Theater on the Ridge described expanded advertising, an improved website and increased youth scholarship support; the organization reported detailed metrics in attached documents. The Paradise Symphony said two July 4 concerts brought attendees from multiple nearby towns and communities.
Staff told council the TOT reinvestment program was a three‑year pilot and that, at council direction, a new one‑year solicitation will open in August. No formal council vote was required for the reports.
