Tazewell County CPMT appoints parent representative, approves April minutes and financial reports

The Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team voted unanimously May 18 to approve its April 27 meeting minutes, the April Fiscal Year 2026 financial report and the Safe & Stable fund disbursement for April 30, 2026, and to appoint Brenda Blizzard as the CPMT Parent Representative.

David Taylor moved to approve the April 27, 2026 minutes; Whitley Wagner seconded and the motion was recorded as unanimously passed. Lori Gates-Addison moved to approve the April FY2026 Financial Report; Michelle Brown seconded and the motion was recorded as unanimously passed. David Taylor moved to approve the April 30 Safe & Stable Funds; Jeff Brintle seconded and the motion was recorded as unanimously passed.

Members reviewed an application and background materials submitted by Brenda Blizzard to fill the Parent Representative vacancy, including Parent Education Advocacy Training certificates provided with her application. Michelle Brown told the group she knew Blizzard through work with the Special Education Advisory Committee and other organizations. Jeff Brintle moved to approve Blizzard as the CPMT Parent Representative; Whitley Wagner seconded and the motion was unanimously carried.

The meeting packet also included a Tazewell County Medicaid Billings Report for Fiscal Year 2026 (file note: packet lists an "Updated 4/15/16" date that appears to be an internal file label). No objections to the appointments or routine approvals were recorded in open session.

The CPMT scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, June 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
