Woodland Hills grants one-month extension on property tax grace period, approves routine financial items

At its Jan. 27 meeting the Woodland Hills commission approved routine minutes, warrants and financial reports and unanimously agreed to a one-month extension of the property tax grace period after a Treasurer's update that 12 current-year bills remain unpaid.
The Woodland Hills commission voted Jan. 27 to grant a one-month extension to the property tax grace period and approved routine financial business, the mayor said.
Treasurer Jones told the commission there is one remaining tax from last year and 12 current-year property tax bills remain unpaid. Commissioner Hedden moved to grant a one-month extension on the grace period; Commissioner Gillenwater seconded and the motion carried.
The commission also approved minutes and financial measures presented at the meeting. City Clerk Lisa Baldwin presented the November and December 2025 minutes; the commission approved the November minutes on a motion by Commissioner Hedden, seconded by Commissioner DeVillier. The December minutes were approved on a motion by Commissioner Gillenwater, seconded by DeVillier, with Commissioner Hedden recorded as abstaining. Treasurer Jones presented warrants, which the commission approved on a motion by Gillenwater, seconded by Hedden. DeVillier moved to approve the December–January financial report; Gillenwater seconded and the motion carried.
The mayor called for any outstanding reimbursements or bills; none were recorded in the minutes. The commission adjourned at 8:48 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2026.
