Resident asks council to bar removal of fixtures from community building, proposes key for co-op president

During the Oct. 13 public-comment period, resident Ruth Nash told the council that someone who rented the community building prior to a co-op club meeting had removed "a large, very ornate old mirror" and not replaced it. Nash asked the council to update the community building rental agreement to explicitly prohibit moving or removing items such as mirrors, wall decorations and drapes.
Nash also said the person responsible for the last co-op meeting had not obtained the key from city hall but that someone was able to find a key so the meeting occurred. She suggested the council consider issuing a key to the co-op club president and holding that person responsible for unlocking and relocking the building. The mayor and council were recorded as agreeable to the suggestion; no formal motion or policy change was made during the meeting.
