Development services staff recommended the county purchase stream and wetland mitigation credits needed to obtain a core permit for the Herb Farm Road project.
"These credits are available, 0.64 wetland credits and 1,761 stream mitigation credits," said the staff member presenting the item, who gave a total cost of "$270,365." Staff told the committee the purchase would come from House Bill 170 funds and recommended approval.
The chair moved the item to the consent agenda. The committee did not take a recorded roll-call vote during the committee meeting; action will be final if adopted on the consent agenda at the next board meeting.
The request reflects a permitting requirement rather than a new policy direction; staff said the expenditure is to secure regulatory compliance needed to proceed with the Herb Farm Road project.
