Board approves personnel changes, supplemental contracts and stipends for 2024–25 and 2025–26

The Blanchester Board of Education on April 21 voted to accept the Superintendent’s personnel recommendations, including resignations, substitute appointments, supplemental contracts and stipends for the current and upcoming school years.
The board approved the resignation of Zachary Canty effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year and approved certified substitutes Carol Mobley and Tamra Jones (temporary). For 2024–25 the board approved summer-school assignments (Kyle Hamilton and Andy Hamm at $30 per hour) and a range of Science of Reading stipends, from $400 to $1,200, for multiple staff. The minutes list named staff and stipend amounts for each assignment.
The board also approved a slate of coaching appointments for the 2025–26 school year (including Shelbie Rose for varsity volleyball and others listed in the minutes) and accepted a set of volunteers for the FFA overnight convention April 30–May 2, 2025, pending background checks as noted in the minutes.
The Superintendent’s personnel package was approved by motion (moved by John Panetta and seconded by Mike Williams) and recorded as adopted by all present. The meeting minutes list individual names and pay/stipend levels; specific contract language and effective dates will be included in personnel files and payroll.
