Caroline County commissioners on Dec. 16 presented a certificate of recognition to Brenda Walls of Ridgely Pharmacy for two decades of service to the town and the county.
Economic development staff and commissioners praised Walls for her role in creating a signature car show that drew visitors to Ridgely, for providing essential services through her pharmacy and for volunteer work in the community. "Through the successful operation of Ridgely Pharmacy, Brenda Walls provided essential services, created economic opportunities, and built lasting relationships," the certificate read, which listed signatures for the commissioners.
Walls said she has retired from the business but will continue volunteer work, including involvement with car-show events and broader nonprofit activity across the Eastern Shore. Commissioners and attendees offered thanks and applause and posed for photographs after the presentation.
