"I would recommend that they would pass this resolution establishing the speed limit that way," staff told supervisors when describing the proposed placement and length of the new zone. Supervisors moved, seconded and approved the resolution (recorded as resolution 07142601) by roll-call vote.
On bridges, staff presented a 2080 agreement to include two county bridges in a competitive highway bridge grant application; if approved by the federal Highway Administration, Kossuth County would act as the lead county and perform administrative duties. The board approved the recommended action and later authorized letters of support for the specific structures in the application.
The board also approved a road-closure resolution required for HMA (hot-mix asphalt) project work, enabling crews to proceed with scheduled paving and associated detours.
