He said the district refreshed more than 900 devices over the summer and closed roughly 2,300 help‑desk tickets since August.
Rayburn also described an instructional suite purchased by the district: GoGuardian Teacher and Beacon (for real‑time monitoring and safety alerts), Pear Deck and Pear Practice (interactive instruction and AI‑assisted practice), and a CAD/3D printing curriculum donated by Bamboo Lab and CADClass for engineering coursework. He said GoGuardian Beacon alerts mental‑health staff if students post or search content flagged for self‑harm and that the system provides screenshots and timestamps for follow up.
Board members asked for slide decks and a five‑year budget and staffing snapshot for technology; Rayburn said slides would be included in the board brief and that the state CUES project will automate account lifecycle management to reduce cybersecurity risk.
The presentation concluded with updates on network upgrades (new wireless access points via E‑Rate funding) and a reminder that Windows 10 devices remaining in the district must be upgraded because Microsoft has ended support.
