Atlantic Auto Body delays reopening while awaiting correct fire-rated doors, tells commission

The owner of Atlantic Auto Body updated the Revere City License Commission on progress toward meeting fire- and building-code requirements at the business’s Broadway location.
"Construction is under progress, and we're waiting for fire doors to arrive," the owner (who gave his name as Clay) told the commission. He said the first set of doors delivered had the wrong fire-rating and the correct three-hour-rated doors are pending, which has delayed his ability to reopen.
Clay said he has applied for the fire alarm permit and was awaiting a response; the deputy (Cheever/Paul) had indicated some progress in written communication to the board. The commission advised him to notify licensing staff when all permits and parking plans are in place, and the board filed the hearing for now.
No license or operating approval was granted at the meeting; the commission asked the owner to return when the outstanding items are complete so the board can review a finalized parking plan, vehicle licensing and the license application.
