Highway personnel Jesse Sedler and Donnie Witt updated the Richland County Board of Commissioners on road work and a pending grant application at the Oct. 7 meeting.
Sedler said a traffic study near Christine remains unfinished, spot graveling is almost complete, and all major projects are finished for the season. He said CR16 was repainted west of the I‑29 bridge. Sedler told commissioners the department submitted a Flex Funding Grant application for County Road 1 (CR1); county staff said grants will be awarded on Dec. 31, 2025.
Commissioner Terry Goerger also read a letter of thanks addressed to the commission and the highway department. No formal action was taken on the highway report at the meeting.
