The Franklin Borough Board of Education approved two facilities items at its Jan. 12 meeting.
First, the board amended an earlier approval for Class II — Wallkill Valley Travel Soccer to add practice times (5:30–7:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through March 31, 2026). Facility and service fees listed in the minutes were waived, resulting in a total cost of $0.00 under the amendment.
Second, the board approved a facilities use request from Cub Scout Pack 90 for a "Roar and Rumble" live pro‑wrestling fundraising event on May 9, 2026. The request covers the main gymnasium, locker rooms, bleachers, connecting hallways, bathrooms and parking lot. Some fees (facility use and service fee) were waived; custodial overtime fees were recorded as TBD. The minutes list additional materials requested (seven folding tables and 100 folding chairs) with Pack 90 sourcing extra chairs as needed.
Both items were approved under Policy 7510 (Use of School Facilities) and recorded in the meeting attachments.
