Two CJCC subcommittees reported progress on the council's strategic‑plan objectives.
Julie (speaker 2) said the behavioral health work group has met twice, finalized a draft charter and decided to meet monthly; the group plans to present the charter at the next full CJCC meeting in August and will participate in SIMS training scheduled for September.
"We did start having conversations about the key behavioral health crossover topics... We have decided to meet monthly," Julie said.
Jenny Ratz (speaker 5), reporting for the pretrial compliance group, said the work group has formed and is awaiting confirmation from the sheriff's office about its representative. Ratz said the group has commitments from the chair of the public safety committee and others and is planning to meet in the coming weeks to review a draft charter.
The chair asked the subcommittee chairs to coordinate across groups because their work overlaps; members agreed to continue directing subcommittee work through the CJCC and to return recommendations to the full council. The CJCC set its next meeting for Aug. 11.
