CJCC forms communications work group; Public Safety Officer Sager named chair to develop site content

The Washington County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council established a communications work group and named Public Safety Officer Sager as its chair to develop content for a CJCC web presence.
Sager said the group had been working last fall with county staff and described a draft internal site that is not yet public facing. He proposed the communications work group develop content — such as a snapshot of the strategic plan, minutes, agendas and a brief mission statement — and present it to the membership for review before the site goes live.
"Last October, we worked alongside Elisha Durr, doctor Waupert, and Michelle Von Hayden to create a website on our home page that reflects the criminal justice coordinating council," Sager said, explaining the site is currently intra‑facing and that he would chair the work group if confirmed.
Chair nominated Sager and the membership voted to approve him as chair; Sager said he will identify members and listed potential co‑chairs. Members asked that the communications group circulate proposed content for review and that the full council sign off before making the site public.
The council noted county IT and existing county infrastructure can host the site, and members encouraged keeping content concise and accessible to help future subcommittees and the public understand CJCC priorities.
