Maiden Rock board appoints election inspectors, OKs tech subscription and debit-card limit

Chairman Jerry F. Duden called the Maiden Rock Town Board meeting to order at 6:18 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2025. The board unanimously approved the October 2025 minutes and accepted the October treasurer's report.
Clerk/Treasurer Carla R. Schuster told the board she had requested a debit card from Hiawatha National Bank; the board directed the bank-issued card carry a $500 spending limit for security. Schuster also requested a subscription to Acrobat Pro for document editing and management; Supervisor John Danneker moved to approve the subscription, Supervisor Allen White seconded, and the motion carried. The clerk estimated the subscription cost at about $240 per year.
The board then considered and passed Resolution 2025-6, appointing election inspectors for 2026–2027. The named slate includes Linda Gore as chief inspector, Nancy Erickson, Darla Pittman, Kathy Arndt, Amanda Smith, Gerald Gore and Joseph Smith, with Katie Stoudt listed as alternate chief inspector. The three-member board recorded roll-call votes of Yes, and the resolution passed.
The board recorded administrative items and routine updates before moving to planning and road items later in the meeting. No public objections or competing nominations to the elections slate were recorded.
