The Town of Maiden Rock held its monthly board meeting on Aug. 11, 2025. The board approved the July minutes and the July treasurer’s report, reviewed road and building maintenance needs, and handled several routine administrative items.
Motions recorded in the minutes included approval of the July minutes (mover: John Danneker; seconder: Allen White), approval of the July treasurer’s report (mover: John Danneker; seconder: Allen White), and adjournment (mover: John Danneker; seconder: Allen White). The board also approved the payment of a WI Frac Sand chargeback (see separate item).
Town updates included ongoing grading and storm cleanup after downed trees in the Warrentown area and preparation of roads for rock application; soffit damage to the town building and needed work on the salt shed were noted. A bid for parking-lot blade patching was deferred until next spring. The planning commission reported that Char Randers had stepped down and the board is seeking a volunteer to join the commission.
The clerk listed upcoming bills to Johnson Tractor; All Croix Inspection; Menards; and Chippewa Valley Energy. Letters received included notices about the Bridge Improvement Program, WI Emergency Management training, population estimates, and local bridge assistance programs. The board recorded a zoning permit application for a residential alteration at 4321 120th Ave (Ed Rohl).
During public comment, resident Dan Ellenberger asked about parking a personal vehicle in the town garage; the minutes state the board contacted Rural Mutual Insurance and that the parking is covered by township policy. Resident Judy Krohn thanked Cole Kangas for turning a street sign by her house. The meeting adjourned at 8:31 p.m.
