Maple Valley City Council approves SKHHP 2027 work plan, awards golf-course furnishings and adopts consent calendar

The Maple Valley City Council unanimously approved multiple resolutions and the consent calendar during its June 22 regular meeting at Lake Wilderness Lodge.

Community Development Manager Matt Torpey introduced Resolution No. R-26-2075, the South King Housing and Homelessness Partners (SKHHP) 2027 Work Plan and 2027 Operating Budget. SKHHP Acting Executive Manager Dorsol Plants provided the presentation; Councilmember Victoria Schroff moved approval and Deputy Mayor Didem Pierson seconded. The motion carried, 6-0.

Parks & Recreation Director and Assistant City Manager Dave Johnson presented the furnishings, fixtures and equipment purchase for the Lake Wilderness Golf Course clubhouse. The council awarded the contract to Porter via Resolution No. R-26-2074; Mayor Sean P. Kelly moved approval and Councilmember Dana Parnello seconded. The motion carried, 6-0.

The council approved the consent calendar en bloc, which included approval of minutes for June 8 and June 15, 2026; vendor and benefit checks and transfers; and several resolutions: Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Johnston Architects, LLC for construction administration on the Lake Wilderness Golf Course Community Clubhouse Project (R-26-2070); awarding the S-17 Cedar Downs Water Quality Retrofit Project construction bid to Jansen, Inc., with a 20 percent construction contingency (R-26-2073); acceptance of the 2027–2032 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the city’s transportation system (R-26-2076); and authorization for the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Transpo Group USA, Inc., for design of the T-66 Compact Roundabout & Pedestrian Crossing Improvements Project (R-26-2077). The written vendor/benefit and payroll transactions recorded for the meeting totaled $2,027,201.00.
