The College Place City Council approved two commission appointments on July 14.
Charles Peters, a College Place resident, applied to fill a vacancy on the Civil Service Commission. The council moved, seconded and approved his appointment by voice vote.
Tara Luthy applied to the Lodging Tax Advisory Commission (LTAC). Council members confirmed she manages vacation rentals that include College Place properties and said that, while she lives in Walla Walla, she meets the LTAC’s industry-representation requirement. The council moved, seconded and approved her appointment by voice vote.
Both appointments were added under new and unfinished business and were approved without recorded opposition. The council also noted that, with these appointments, all commission seats are filled.
