The North Bay Board of Trustees unanimously approved a five-year waste-management contract with Johns Disposal Waste Management at a stand-up meeting Monday evening.
President Roger Mellem presided over the meeting, which began at 4:45 p.m. The contract approved covers Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2030, and the document was updated to include 16 yard-waste collections annually — two collections per month from mid-April through late November.
Constable Rocco Castellano moved to approve the Johns Disposal contract; Trustee Rick Cermak seconded the motion. “All in favor, none opposed,” the clerk recorded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The board’s approval formalizes the multi-year arrangement for solid-waste services with Johns Disposal. The meeting record states the contract term explicitly and the added yard-waste schedule; no additional contract dollar amounts or funding sources were provided in the meeting record.
After approving the contract, Trustee Paul Schroeder moved to adjourn; Constable Castellano seconded. The trustees voted unanimously and adjourned at 4:49 p.m.
Meeting logistics listed the Village Hall address at 3615 Hennepin Place, Racine, Wisconsin 53402, a phone contact of (262) 639-2334 and the village website, www.northbay-wi.us.
