Upper Adams appoints Mike Waldron and Macaya Van Avera to two open board seats

Candidates each spoke briefly to explain their interest and qualifications. Mike Waldron said he has lived in the district for decades, has experience working with youth and community groups, and cited a hands‑on background in local organizations. Macaya Van Avera (who said he has three children in the district and experience working as a preschool aide and pastor) said he wanted to support students and bring community perspective to the board.
Board members thanked applicants for stepping forward and encouraged those not appointed to remain engaged and provide input at future meetings.
