Beaufort County School District will hold a back-to-school expo on Saturday, July 18, at the Tanger Outlets (Hilton Head area), offering free school supplies, school information and prize opportunities. Shuttle service to the expo will be available from several schools; families must register online for preferred pickup locations, the county bulletin said.
The district’s summer food program, called 'Groceries to Go,' runs through July 31 and provides free weekly grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meal kits. Children age 18 and under may participate, as may people over 18 who qualify under applicable state rules for disability. Families can pick up weekly meal kits on Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. at seven locations across Beaufort County; a full list of locations and a reservation form are on the district site at beaufortschools.net.
The Uniform Bounce Back program returns July 24–26 at Cornerstone Church in Beaufort County Schools, where families may receive up to two gently used school uniforms per student while supplies last. Participating schools listed in the bulletin include May River High, Bluffton High, J.C. Riley (transcript: "MC Riley"), Bluffton Middle, McCracken Middle, River Ridge Academy, Okatie Elementary (transcript: "Okeetee Elementary") and Red Cedar Elementary. Pickup times vary by day; the county bulletin posted details at gocornerstone.church/uniformbounceback.
The district encouraged families to use the online registration and reservation forms to secure shuttle spots and meal pickups.
