During discussion a committee member asked whether the new ladder truck is an electric vehicle. Wendy replied it is fuel-operated and invited members to a May 3 demonstration comparing the old and new trucks’ deployment, saying the new vehicle is “vastly different and more efficient” in capability.
After approving the ARPA reallocation by roll call, the committee voted to adjourn into a closed session under statutory authority (cited in the meeting as "19.85 e") to deliberate or negotiate the purchase of public property related to a potential 8.5 Street road extension. The motion to enter closed session passed on roll call.
