Ally (Gravel Guide presenter) told the Grand County Trailmix Committee the team is producing a gravel‑adventure field guide containing 11 routes, two of which touch national parks. The guide will include links to ride‑with‑GPS routes and barcodes to measure engagement and scanning activity.
“...we're working on a gravel adventure field guide...we'll have 11 routes, and 2 of them will touch the national parks,” Ally said, adding that the project will print about 24,000 copies for distribution to local bike shops and partner shops across multiple states. Organizers said the routes and media will be available for bike shops to use at no cost.
Committee members asked about distribution, map accuracy and outreach; presenters encouraged members to share updated trail information and to route users to established map services (AllTrails, Strava, Trailforks) while noting limited local cell coverage. The group agreed the guide could help diversify visitor use away from high‑traffic paved corridors and provide new options for riders of varying skill levels.
Trailmix staff requested a publication link for committee distribution; presenters agreed to share a link when available.
