The Plover Police & Fire Commission on Feb. 24 approved routine minutes and vouchers and voted to adopt a tentative one-year Union Paramedic Contract intended to allow adjustments after 12 months. Mr. Hodgson moved to approve the contract and Mr. Fochs seconded; the motion carried.
The motion approving the vouchers was made by Ms. Schiefelbein and seconded by Mr. Giese; that motion also carried. Earlier in the meeting Ms. Schiefelbein moved to approve the minutes of Dec. 16, 2025, a motion Mr. Fochs seconded; the minutes were approved.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote to adjourn into closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(g) to consider employment, compensation, or performance data of public employees; commissioners reported no formal action taken in closed session before adjourning. The tentative paramedic contract recorded in the meeting is for one year so the commission and staff can reassess terms after that period.
The commission said additional details on contract implementation and any follow-up reporting requirements will be provided in future meetings.
