Village staff used the March 4 meeting to report on multiple infrastructure and administrative items, including inspections, design presentations and project bid reviews.
Engineer Joe Terry highlighted a utility review for the Empire Estates project, routine inspection forms for Springville Dam and progress on village specifications. Trustee Ross Ballard asked for an update on the Hoover Avenue Bridge; Scott Klemm said his department performs an annual visual inspection and would bring in AECOM for professional input if an issue is identified.
Public Works projects were also discussed: Mr. Kunst told the board staff are reviewing bids for road work and that he anticipates a forthcoming change order for the Lake Pacawa Project related to altering a family bathroom to include an adult changing table for residents with special needs. Kunst also updated trustees on the paramedic union contract status and said SEH will present 60% design plans with updated cost estimates at an upcoming meeting. He thanked village staff and partner agencies for their roles in a recent Vice President visit to Plover.
The board was reminded of a March 11 meeting at the highway department regarding Hwy R reconstruction and a public information meeting in April about Highway 54 at the Plover Municipal Building.
